Introduction (紹介) + New Anime (アニメ)

(And here I go into English as I have exhausted all of the relevant Japanese that I have learnt)
I've been reading over the PE assignment and what I found interesting was the shadowing exercise. I like out JPN 101 is the one class where our せんせい actually encourage us to watch anime (obviously for educational purposes).
I've been shadowing/learning/tormenting my roommates with this song:

Which was the EP of this anime

Which has an equally epic OP

And even better, the last season (season 3) is coming out in November so I don't have to wait for a conclusion to the series. I think I've found an alternative to spending time on psets.

(I really need to sleep)

First Post (最初のブログエントリ????)

This is my first blog post so I guess its gonna be the usual why did I start this, introductions etc.... stuff like that....

Well for starters, why did I choose Japanese? First of all CHI 300 would be far too hard so I opted for the easier course JPN 101. Just joking! My decision to go for Japanese, or 日本語 as my にほんごせんせい  would prefer me to use, was as spontaneous as my decision to ditch New Zealand for America to study.

I realized I had more contact with Japanese (post-modern) culture a.k.a. manga, anime and Gunpla than I had chinese (sorry mom I know you've been trying to get me into Chinese-y stuff but I'd prefer Code Geass to Chinese dramas any day).

Just look at the OP of this anime:

The opening is called "Fate" by Kokia for the anime (Break Blade). I'd recommend everyone to watch it whenever you're not "zealously" studying for Japanese.

Well this is all for now as much as I enjoy blogging about 二本語 my unfinished p-set glares at me from across my desk, partially submerged under a opened なかま workbook.

Oh! And one last thing, just on the side I've had this song on repeat throughout the duration of the composition of this blog. Enjoy!
